Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar, a British American singer and musician is best known for her musical talents. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and also the first female recipient. Apart from receiving nine Grammy nominations and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the first Indian-born musician to be a presenter and performer at the award ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is one of the rising stars of India's sitar. She is the student of Ravi Shankar and is also his daughter of Ravi Shankar. She was born in London in 1982. In her first years she split her time between London New Delhi. At the age of 13 when her first performance was in New Delhi took place. Then she relocated in Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Although she is still very young Anouskha is an accomplished performer and recording career. For a long time she has been performing regularly with her father. Her first solo album, Anourag, was released in 1998. The following year, she released the Grammy nominated album Live at Carnegie Hall. Her career on stage is broad as she's performed in most of the biggest venues in the world. The career of Anoushka goes far beyond music. In 2002, she released a book entitled Bapi The of My Life. of My Live this is a picture-based biography, which pays special tribute to her father Ravi Shankar. In 2003, she was a Bharat Nathyam young dancer Dance Like a Man. The career of Anoushka Shankar is in the process of developing and she will continue to achieve great success in the future. Anoushka was raised in England and spent a lot of her youth in between London as well as Delhi. Then she moved to California and enrolled in the high school there. Anoushka started her music studies at the age of nine. A few years later she played her first sitar debut in Delhi at her father's 75th birthday party. Anoushka, who accompanied her father throughout his global tour, gained an incredible quantity of knowledge. As a teenager, she performed at Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and even recorded with George Harrison. As a tribute to her status as one of the top musicians in Asian Arts, she was presented with the House of Commons Shield by British Parliament.
